Child Safety & Privacy Policy for Mithu : Bolne Wala Tota
Last Updated: July 08, 2026
At Mithu : Bolne Wala Tota, the safety, privacy, and well-being of children are our highest priorities. This Child Safety and Privacy Policy explains the measures we take to provide a safe, secure, and age-appropriate educational experience for children using our application.
1. Compliance with Global Privacy Laws (COPPA & GDPR)
We strictly follow global standards for children's online privacy, ensuring full transparency in how our app handles data for young users.
A. COPPA Compliance (Children's Online Privacy Protection Act - US)
Our app is fully compliant with the United States' Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). We design our application to ensure that no personal information is collected from children under the age of 13. Specifically:
- No Personal Identifiers: We do not collect, request, or store names, email addresses, physical addresses, phone numbers, precise geolocation, or online contact information from children.
- No Persistent Identifiers for Tracking: We do not collect or use device IDs, advertising IDs (such as Google Advertising ID), or IP addresses to build behavioral profiles or serve targeted behavioral advertisements to children.
- Ephemeral Voice Processing: Any microphone access is used strictly for real-time, on-device audio feedback (modulating voice for the parrot interaction). This audio data is processed temporarily in the device's volatile memory and is never saved, stored, or transmitted to any server, complying with COPPA's regulations on voice recordings.
B. GDPR & GDPR-K Compliance (General Data Protection Regulation - Europe)
We comply with the European Union's General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), particularly the rules regarding children's data privacy (GDPR-K). For users under the age of digital consent (which ranges from 13 to 16 in EU/EEA member states):
- Consent Requirement: We do not process any personal data of children residing in the EU/EEA without verified parental consent. Since our app does not collect personal data, no consent for data processing is required or requested.
- Data Protection Rights: Parents and guardians retain all rights under the GDPR regarding their children's digital footprint. Even though we do not store personal data, parents have the right to request confirmation of non-collection, request information about data safety practices, or contact us regarding any privacy concerns.
- Data Portability & Erasure: If any technical or support email communication occurs between a parent and the developer, parents can request the immediate deletion of such communications (Right to be Forgotten).
C. Google Play Families Policy Compliance
Our app is designed from the ground up to meet all strict guidelines under the official Google Play Families Policy:
- Certified APIs & SDKs: We only integrate SDKs and third-party tools that are certified by Google for use in apps targeting children. Currently, we use Google AdMob, which is configured to restrict ad tracking and profiling for children under 13.
- Family-Safe Content: All educational lessons, voice prompts, visuals, and animations are strictly audited to ensure they are appropriate, non-violent, and safe for young children.
2. Educational Purpose
The primary purpose of Mithu : Bolne Wala Tota is early education and preschool learning.
The app provides interactive lessons for:
- English Alphabets (A-Z) & Hindi Varnamala (क से ज्ञ)
- Counting Numbers (1-100), Fruits, Flowers, Countries, and Flags
- Interactive Voice-Based Learning Activities
Note: The app contains no social networking, messaging, dating, or user-generated content features.
3. Voice Interaction & Microphone Usage (On-Device Processing)
The app requests microphone access to allow children to interact with Mithu (the talking parrot).
- Zero Server Transmission: All voice and audio inputs are processed ephemerally and 100% locally on the user's device (On-Device Processing).
- No audio recording or voice data is ever sent to our servers, stored, or shared with third parties.
- Microphone access is used strictly for speech interaction, voice-based exercises, and parrot-like audio repetition.
4. Data Collection & Privacy Practices
We believe in data minimization. Mithu : Bolne Wala Tota does not collect:
- Child's name, age, or gender
- Home addresses, phone numbers, or email addresses
- Photos, videos, or financial details
- Device or advertising IDs for targeted tracking
- No account creation or registration is required to use the app.

- Where technical or operational data may be processed through platform services, such processing is limited to providing, securing, and improving the app experience.
6. Advertising Policy & Certified Ad Networks
To support the app, we may display advertisements through Google AdMob, which is an official Google Play Certified Ad Network.
- We have configured our AdMob SDK to flag all ad requests as Child-Directed (COPPA Compliant).
- We strictly restrict ads to "G" (General Audience) ratings.
- No personalized (interest-based) tracking or profiling is conducted for kids.
- You can learn more about how Google manages data in ads through Google's Partner Privacy Policy.
